DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Dallas police say a man was found shot in the 3200 block of Sumter Drive overnight Tuesday night.
According to officials an officer responded to the report of a shooting and found the man.
“Dallas Fire Rescue transported the suspect to a local hospital where he succumbed his injury and was pronounced deceased,” officials replied in an email to CBS 11.
Police said they do not know what the motive or circumstances were surrounding the shooting and that no suspect was in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
