DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas SWAT team has surrounded a house near Humphrey Drive and 51st Street.

Officers confronted a wanted murder suspect and were met with gunfire. No officers were hit.
CBS 11’s Chopper 11 is overhead. We can confirm that police have taken a position around the house and that the suspect has barricaded himself inside.
Trees overhead are obstructing much of the scene. Also, as this is a developing tactical situation, CBS 11 will not live stream images.
At one point it appeared that a SWAT vehicle pushed a pick-up truck on the property for some reason.
A CBS 11 crew is at the scene and will provide more information soon.
